The Flood Warning continues for
the Mississippi River at Rock Island ld15.
* Until this evening.
* At 8:00 am Wednesday the stage was 15.3 feet and falling.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring.
* Forecast... fall below flood stage this evening.
* Impact... at 15.0 feet, water affects several sections of south
Concord street south of River Drive in Davenport and is at the
foundations of several homes on Enchanted Island. Water also
affects industries along the river at the south end of Davenport.

The Flood Warning continues for
the wapsipinicon river near De Witt 4s.
* Until further notice.
* At 8:30 am Wednesday the stage was 10.6 feet and rising.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage Thursday morning and continue
rising to 12.6 feet Monday morning.
* Impact... at 12.5 feet, major flood stage. Water affects old U.S.
Highway 61 near the river.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Thursday morning...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of Illinois, Iowa, and northeast Missouri, including
the following areas, in Illinois, Hancock, Henderson, Henry
IL, McDonough, Mercer, Rock Island, and Warren. In Iowa, Des
Moines, Henry IA, Jefferson, Keokuk, Lee, Louisa, Muscatine,
Scott, Van Buren, and Washington. In northeast Missouri, Clark
and Scotland.

* Through Thursday morning

* storms will be capable of high rainfall rates due to high
moisture levels in the atmosphere.

* The area of greatest risk is south of a line from Sigourney,
Iowa to Monmouth, Illinois. Here storms may move over the same
areas later tonight and produce 1 to 3 inches of rain in a
short time period.

A Flash Flood Watch means that flash flooding is possible.
Monitor forecasts and take action if flash flood warnings are
issued or flash flooding develops.

southwestern Jackson... Cedar... Scott... south central Dubuque...
northeastern Johnson... Jones... Muscatine... southeastern Linn and
western Clinton counties until 600 PM CDT...

At 500 PM CDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near Anamosa to near Fairport. Movement
was northeast at 20 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail are possible with these
storms.

Locations impacted include...
Davenport, Moline, Rock Island, Bettendorf, Muscatine, East Moline,
Maquoketa, Anamosa, Tipton, West Branch, Durant, Mechanicsville,
Stanwood, Marion, Silvis, Eldridge, DeWitt, Mount Vernon, Monticello
and Le Claire.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 74 in Iowa between mile markers 1 and 5.
Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 253 and 306.
Interstate 80 in Illinois between mile markers 1 and 3.
Interstate 74 in Illinois between mile markers 1 and 2.
Interstate 280 between mile markers 1 and 12.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
