the wapsipinicon river near Anamosa Shaw Rd.
* Until Sunday.
* At 9:15 am Wednesday the stage was 17.9 feet and rising.
* Flood stage is 14.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise to 19.0 feet Thursday morning. Fall below flood
stage Sunday.
* Impact... at 18.8 feet, Landis Road is closed.

* At 8:30 am Wednesday the stage was 12.6 feet and falling.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring.
* Forecast... fall below flood stage today.
* Impact... at 12.0 feet, water affects low-lying streets in
Independence.

... A line of strong thunderstorms will affect southern Rock Island...
southwestern Jackson... Cedar... Scott... south central Dubuque...
northeastern Johnson... Jones... Muscatine... southeastern Linn and
western Clinton counties until 600 PM CDT...

At 500 PM CDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near Anamosa to near Fairport. Movement
was northeast at 20 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail are possible with these
storms.

Locations impacted include...
Davenport, Moline, Rock Island, Bettendorf, Muscatine, East Moline,
Maquoketa, Anamosa, Tipton, West Branch, Durant, Mechanicsville,
Stanwood, Marion, Silvis, Eldridge, DeWitt, Mount Vernon, Monticello
and Le Claire.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 74 in Iowa between mile markers 1 and 5.
Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 253 and 306.
Interstate 80 in Illinois between mile markers 1 and 3.
Interstate 74 in Illinois between mile markers 1 and 2.
Interstate 280 between mile markers 1 and 12.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
