Issued: Environment Canada
Special Weather Statement issued by Environment. 01:09 AM EDT Sunday 30 April 2017.
Significant rain expected Today and Monday.

An intensifying low pressure system over Oklahoma is forecast to soak southern portions of the province beginning early this morning for Southwestern Ontario and elsewhere today. Several rounds of rain are expected with some embedded heavier thunderstorms in many areas. Total general rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 millimetres are anticipated through Monday before it tapers off. But some areas which receive more persistent thunderstorms are likely to be impacted by 50 to 75 mm. The greatest threat for this heavier rainfall is to the northeast of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay. Rainfall warnings are likely to be issued for some regions overnight.
