... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 345 am EDT Monday for
McDowell... southeastern Mingo and west central Wyoming counties...

* at 925 PM EDT, persistent rainfall continues to push into the area
tonight. Many creeks and streams are full and could run over
their banks with anymore rain overnight.

* The Tug Fork River in Bradshaw will likely rise above its flood
stage of 10 feet within the next 2 hours. At a stage of 10 feet,
homes along the river downstream of the gauge begin to flood.
Residents living along the tug Fork should continue to monitor for
alerts through the night.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Welch, Gary, War, Northfork, Gilbert creek, Bradshaw, Iaeger,
Keystone, Anawalt, Kimball, Panther, Jolo, Maybeury, Elbert,
Coalwood, Avondale, Cucumber and Jenkinjones.

Additional rainfall amounts between half to one inch are possible in
the warned area.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

... Flash Flood Watch now in effect through Monday afternoon...

The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* portions of southwest Virginia and southern West Virginia,
including the following areas, in southwest Virginia, Buchanan
and Dickenson. In southern West Virginia, McDowell and
Wyoming.

* Into Monday afternoon

* another wave of heavy rainfall is expected tonight into Monday.
This could lead to flash flooding, particularly along flood
prone creeks and streams, and adjacent low lying areas.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should warnings be issued.
