* at 1226 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain has ended,
however streams and creeks will continue to rise as runoff enters
the waterways. Many small streams and creeks are either at bank
full or have overflowed their banks and it will still take several
hours for the water to recede. Continue to use caution when
traveling and be aware of ongoing Road closures due to high water.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Ripley, Spencer, Glenville, Elizabeth, Grantsville, Ravenswood,
Sandyville, Reedy, Auburn, Statts Mills, Cherry, Smithville, given,
Mount Zion, Newberne, Cottageville, Lucille, Alum Bridge, Big
Springs and Berea.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 7 PM EST this
evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of southeast Ohio and north central West Virginia,
including the following areas, in southeast Ohio, Washington. In
West Virginia, Barbour, Braxton, Calhoun, Clay, Doddridge,
Gilmer, Harrison, Jackson WV, Lewis, northwest Nicholas,
northwest Randolph, northwest Webster, Pleasants, Ritchie,
Roane, southeast Nicholas, southeast Randolph, southeast
Webster, Taylor, Tyler, Upshur, Wirt, and wood.

* Until 7 PM EST this evening

* excessive rainfall

* rain Tuesday saturated already wet grounds over much of the
watch area. Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms are
expected at times through this afternoon. Where showers and
storms persist, flash flooding will be possible.
