... Lake effect snow warning remains in effect until 7 am EST
Saturday...

Hazardous weather...

* moderate lake effect snow will continue across the Keweenaw
   peninsula into early Saturday.

* West to northwest winds gusting as high as 30 mph today will lead
   to blowing and drifting snow... especially near Lake Superior.
   Winds will diminish by Friday.

* Expect additional snowfall today and tonight of 4 to 8 inches with
   the most snow over the higher terrain... including at Twin
   Lakes... Painesdale... and Calumet. The lake effect snow will
   continue Friday and Friday night... with a few inches of
   additional accumulation expected... heaviest over the higher
   terrain.

Impacts...

* roads will be snow covered and slippery.

* Moderate snow and blowing snow will reduce visibilities.
