... Flood Warning extended until Sunday evening... the Flood Warning continues for
the Perdido river near Barrineau Park
* until Sunday evening.
* At 7pm Friday the stage was 17.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13 feet.
* The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by Sunday afternoon.
* At 17.5 feet... water enters the first floor of adventures unlimited office
building.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Escambia River near century
* until further notice.
* At 8pm Friday the stage was 19.3 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 17 feet.
* The river will continue rising to near 19.3 feet by after midnight tomorrow
then begin falling.
* At 19.5 feet... flooding of farm and pasture land will gradually subside as the
river level drops, but some flooding will continue the next several days.

... High rip current risk now in effect through late tonight...
... High surf advisory is cancelled...

The National Weather Service in Mobile has cancelled the high
surf advisory.

* Rip current impacts... frequent life threatening rip currents
are expected.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

There is a high risk of rip currents. Rip currents are life-
threatening to anyone entering the surf. Swim near a lifeguard.
If caught in a rip current remain calm. Don't fight the current.
Swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to
escape, face the shore and call or wave for help. If tired,
float or tread water until out of the rip current.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through late tonight...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of Alabama, northwest Florida, and southeast
Mississippi, including the following areas, in Alabama,
Baldwin central, Baldwin coastal, Baldwin inland, Butler,
Choctaw, Conecuh, Escambia, Monroe, Washington, and Wilcox. In
northwest Florida, Escambia coastal, Escambia inland, Santa
Rosa coastal, and Santa Rosa inland. In southeast Mississippi,
George, Greene, Perry, stone, and Wayne.

* Through late tonight

* additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches with locally
higher amounts possible will fall on saturated ground
conditions. These additional rainfall amounts may result in
flash flooding. In addition to the risk of flash flooding,
many area rivers are now in or will soon go into minor to
moderate flood.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. This is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
