Watches & Warnings

Special Weather Statement
Issued: Environment Canada
Special Weather Statement issued by Environment. 06:28 AM EST Thursday 23 November 2017.
Freezing rain is expected this evening and overnight.

Periods of snow will develop late this afternoon and then change to freezing rain this evening. Freezing rain is then expected to continue for several hours before changing to rain overnight.

This precipitation will be the result of a low pressure system and warm front crossing Northern Ontario tonight and Friday.

###

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to ec.cpio-tempetes-ospc-storms.ec@canada.ca or tweet reports using #ONStorm.
