Flood Warning
Issued: 7:37 PM PST Feb. 20, 2017 – National Weather Service

the National Weather Service in Eureka has issued a

* Flood Warning for the Navarro river at Navarro from this evening to
Tuesday afternoon... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 7:15 PM Monday the stage was 17.8 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
* Forecast... this river is expected to rise above flood stage
around midnight tonight and crest near 24.0 ft early Tuesday
morning. The river is forecast to fall below flood stage later
Tuesday morning then further recede to near 11.0 ft by Thursday
evening.
* Impacts... at 23.0 feet... flooding of Highway 128 approximately 5
miles from Highway 1 is certain and the Road will be closed.
Motorists should use alternate routes.
* Flood history... this crest compares to a previous crest of 25.6 feet
on Jan 20 2010.

... Gale Warning remains in effect until 3 am PST Tuesday...

* winds... SW 20 to 30 kt with gusts to 40 kt tonight.

* Waves... 11 to 14 ft seas... including W 6 ft at 13 seconds and S
8 to 11 ft around 8 seconds.

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
Harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.
