... Heat advisory now extended through today until 6 am MDT
Monday morning...

* temperature... high temperatures will be 104 to 106 degrees in
the El Paso Metro area and Lower Valley today... and overnight
low temperatures through Sunday morning will be 75 to 80
degrees.

* Impacts... the potential for heat related illnesses and
dehydration will be high. Strenuous outside activities will be
hazardous to your health and thus should be avoided. Persons
or pets should not be left in a motor vehicle as this will
cause extreme harm or even death within a short time.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A heat advisory means that a period of very hot temperatures is
expected... creating a situation in which heat illnesses are
possible. Drink plenty of fluids... stay in an air-conditioned
room... stay out of the sun... and check up on relatives and
neighbors.
