* timing... winds will increase late this morning and reach their
peak from 2 PM to 7 PM.

* Winds... west winds will have sustained speeds of 25 to 35 mph
with gusts to 45 mph.

* Visibility... blowing dust will reduce the visibility to less
than five miles over much of the area with the visibility less
than a half mile across a few locations.

* Impacts... the strong winds and low visibility will cause
dangerous driving conditions.

The National Weather Service in El Paso TX/Santa Teresa has
issued a red flag warning, which is in effect from 1 PM this
afternoon to 7 PM MDT this evening.

* Timing... 1 PM to 7pm Friday.

* Affected area... fire weather zone 112.Fire weather zone 055.Fire
weather zone 056. Mainly deserts east of the Rio Grande and
south of Interstate 10 in zone 112.

* Wind... west winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 45 mph.

* Humidity... rh values from 10% to 15%.


* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
