The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
south central Mora County in northeastern New Mexico...
northwestern San Miguel County in northeastern New Mexico...

* until 730 PM MDT

* at 536 PM MDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms along a line from Tierra
Monte... San Ignacio... to El Porvenir. Up to an inch of rain has
fallen with these storms and another inch of rain is possible.
Canada del rocio... Manuelitas creek... as well as state highways 94
and 266 may experience minor flooding.

* Locations impacted include...
Montezuma... Sapello... El Porvenir... Storrie Lake State Park...
Tierra Monte... Gallinas... Golondrinas...
Manuelitas and South Carmen.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Remember... ditches are deadly. A gentle flow of water can become a
raging torrent in a matter of minutes.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely.
