Winter Storm Warning
Issued: 4:18 AM MST Dec. 8, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from noon today to 4 PM
MST Saturday...

* affected area... the Wasatch and western Uinta Mountains of
northern Utah.

* Snow accumulations... 18 to 36 inches through Saturday afternoon.
Locally greater amounts possible... especially through the
northern Wasatch Range.

* Timing... snow will develop this afternoon and continue heavy at
times through Friday and into the day Saturday before tapering
off.

* Winds... westerly winds gusting in excess of 60 mph at times
along the ridgelines Friday morning through Saturday.

* Impacts... winter driving conditions can be expected across all
mountain routes beginning Thursday afternoon... and continuing
through Saturday. This includes interstates 80 and 84. Blowing
and drifting snow may reduce visibilities in exposed areas
Friday morning through Saturday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means a mixture of heavy snow and strong
winds are expected or occurring. Driving conditions may be
hazardous. Use caution. Be prepared for sudden restrictions in
visibility due to blowing snow. Keep a winter storm survival kit
in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
