Special Statement
Issued: 12:46 PM MDT Mar. 29, 2017 – National Weather Service

A large and moist storm system will impact the area from Thursday
night through Friday night. The most challenging aspect of this
storm is the temperature and thus the snow levels. Rain is
expected to develop across much of the area Thursday night and
continue through Friday. Snow levels will initially be above the
Interstate 80 corridor but as colder air moves in some of the rain
will change to snow later Friday into Friday evening. Strong
northeast wind will blow on Friday at speeds of 35 to 55 mph and
we could see some brief blizzard conditions when the rain changes
to snow late Friday into Friday evening before the snow ends.

Stay tuned for frequent updates on this developing storm system.
