... The Flash Flood Warning for north central El Paso County will
expire at 730 PM MDT...

The heavy rain has ended with only periods of light showers expected
for the remainder of the evening. Flooding is no longer expected to
pose a threat... however water will continue to flow in black
Squirrel Creek. Please continue to heed any remaining Road closures.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Fountain Creek near Fountain.
* Until Tuesday morning... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 6:00 PM Monday the stage was 8.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
early this evening.
* Impact... at 8.0 feet... minor agricultural flooding occurs.

... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 745 PM MDT for
southeastern El Paso and northeastern Pueblo counties...

At 617 PM MDT... Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already
fallen. Flash flooding is likely occuring or will begin shortly.

Flash flooding will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern El
Paso and northeastern Pueblo counties.

Additional rainfall amounts of up to an inch are possible in the
warned area.

This includes the following streams and drainages... Haynes creek and
Kramer creek.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... country roads... farmland... and other low lying
spots.
