Fire Weather Warning
Issued: 2:01 PM MST Feb. 21, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Red flag warning remains in effect until 6 PM MST this evening
for wind and low relative humidity for the I-25 corridor and
northeast plains...

* affected area... fire weather zones 238... 239... 240... 242...
243... 244... 245... 248... 249... 250 and 251.

* Timing... the fire danger remain high through 6 PM with a
   gradual improvement thereafter.

* Winds... west 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* Relative humidity... as low as 11 percent.

* Impacts... if a fire starts, it will be capable of spreading
rapidly through grasses and brush due to the strong winds.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... .or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and unseasonably warm
temperatures will contribute to extreme fire behavior.
