The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Plum Creek near Sedalia.
* Until Thursday morning.
* At 11:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 4.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Impact... at 8.0 feet... considerable lowland and Meadow flooding
occurs.
* Flood history... this crest compares to a previous crest of 8.7 feet
on Jun 6 2012.

Areal Flood Advisory
Issued: 12:47 AM MDT Jul. 27, 2017 – National Weather Service

... The urban and small stream flood advisory remains in effect until
230 am MDT for Douglas and northwestern Elbert counties...

At 1243 am MDT, Doppler radar indicated that heavy rain was slowly
diminishing from west to east across Douglas and Elbert counties.
Radar and weather spotters indicated between 2 and 3.5 inches of
rain had fallen in and near Castle Rock, between The Pinery and
Ponderosa Park, and southeast of Franktown from Wednesday evening
into the early morning hours Thursday.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Castle Rock, Parker, Elbert, Lone Tree, Roxborough Park, Elizabeth,
Kiowa, Simla, Larkspur, Perry Park, Surrey Ridge, The Pinery,
Louviers, Franktown, Beverly Hills, Ponderosa Park, Sedalia and
Greenland.

This includes the following streams and drainages... north Garber
creek... Big Sandy Creek... Spring Branch... Gove creek... Rainbow
creek... east Plum Creek... Comanche Creek... Lake gulch... Gold Creek...
