Special Statement
Issued: 8:08 AM CST Feb. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Areas of dense fog will continue to lift this morning...

A very dry airmass has resulted in areas of dense fog this morning
over portions of south Texas. While the fog has begun to lift in
some areas, early morning daytime heating has helped to re-develop
dense fog in some other areas, as dew from the surface evaporates
and forms the fog. Very early visible satellite is showing the
dense fog is in certain areas, with other areas showing little to
no fog. Conditions should improve as morning progresses, with
dense fog ending nearly everywhere no later than 9 am CST.

Morning commuters should take extra time to reach your
destinations. When driving in areas of reduced visibility, slow
down and use your low beam headlights.
