Watches & Warnings

Winter Storm Warning
Issued: 3:44 AM CDT Apr. 30, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 7 PM CDT this
evening...

* timing... through 7 PM Sunday.

* Precip type... snow.

* Accumulations... storm total snow accumulations of 6 to 12
inches are expected, with the highest amounts along the
extreme northwest Texas and Oklahoma Panhandle.

* Impacts... the potential exists for very difficult to impossible
driving conditions due to reduction in visibility along with
slick roadways. North winds 30 to 40 mph with higher gusts will
cause drifting of snow and reduced visibilities. Power outages
may occur.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow...
sleet... or ice are expected or occurring. Strong winds are also
possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.
