The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a

* flood advisory for...
Iberia Parish in south central Louisiana...
St. Mary Parish in south central Louisiana...
southeastern Vermilion Parish in southwestern Louisiana...
southern St. Martin Parish in south central Louisiana...

* until noon CDT

* at 907 am CDT, Doppler radar indicated a large area of showers and
thunderstorms moving across the advisory area. Up to 4 inches of
rain has already fallen resulting in minor flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
New Iberia, Morgan City, Franklin, Patterson, Jeanerette, Berwick,
Belle River, Bayou Vista, Cypremort Point, Stephensville, Avery
Island, Baldwin, Loreauville, Ellerslie, Patterson Memorial
Airport, Lydia, sorrel, Amelia, Glencoe and Cote Blanche Island.

Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected. This additional
rain will maintain minor flooding.
