morning...

The National Weather Service in Omaha/valley has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of southwest Iowa and southeast
Nebraska... including the following areas... in southwest Iowa...
   Fremont and Page. In southeast Nebraska... Nemaha... Pawnee and
Richardson.

* From this evening through Thursday morning

* thunderstorms are forecast to re-develop this afternoon and
tonight and could bring locally heavy rain in excess of 2 to 3
inches in an short time, combined with recent rains and could
lead to flash flooding.

* Water may cover roads and rapid rises on local streams are
possible tonight. Be especially cautious at night when it is
harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
