Areal Flood Warning
Issued: 7:23 PM CDT Aug. 27, 2016 – National Weather Service

... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 945 PM CDT for central
Greenwood County...

An estimated two to three inches of rain occurred in a short period
of time this evening just north of Eureka. Consequently... excessive
runoff is likely producing flooding of small creeks and
streams... country roads... farmland... and other low lying spots.

Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Eureka... Hamilton... Eureka City Lake and Eureka Airport.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most
flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
