Issued: 2:38 PM CST Feb. 21, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect from midnight tonight to 9 am CST
Wednesday...

The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a dense
fog advisory, which is in effect from midnight tonight to 9 am
CST Wednesday.

* Visibility... areas of dense fog will develop tonight and reduce
visibility to near one quarter mile or less across southern
Missouri and the Eastern Ozarks.

* Impacts... reductions in visibility will occur over short
distances. Areas of dense fog will impact travel on Highway 60,
Highway 65, Highway 13, and Highway 63 corridors as well as
Interstate 44.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use
your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
