The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Shannon County in south central Missouri...
northern Howell County in south central Missouri...
southeastern Texas County in south central Missouri...

* until 1045 PM CDT

* at 452 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated a thunderstorm producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to
begin shortly. Radar estimates show that two to four inches of
rainfall has fallen in the last hour and additional heavy rainfall
will continue into early this evening.

* Creeks... streams... and low water crossings will be especially
susceptible to the dangers of flash flooding.
