Issued: 2:39 AM CST Feb. 27, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect until 7 am CST this morning...

The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a dense
fog advisory, which is in effect until 7 am CST this morning.

* Visibility... patchy dense fog will result in visibilities
dropping to a quarter mile or less at times. Visibility may
change rapidly over short distances.

* Impacts... patchy fog will result in rapid changes in visibility
across short distances, creating potentially hazardous driving
conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use
your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
