northern Cass County in west central Missouri...
southern Jackson County in west central Missouri...

* until 145 am CDT

* at 943 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in

and additional heavy rain is expected.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Kansas City, Overland Park, Olathe, Lee's Summit, Shawnee, Blue
Springs, Lenexa, Leawood, Raytown, Grandview, Belton, Prairie
Village, Raymore, Gardner, Grain Valley, Merriam, mission, Pleasant

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
