... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 7 am CDT Thursday...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of west central Illinois, southeast Iowa, and
northeast Missouri, including the following areas, in west
central Illinois, Hancock, Henderson, McDonough, and Warren.
In southeast Iowa, Des Moines, Henry IA, Jefferson, Lee, and
Van Buren. In northeast Missouri, Clark and Scotland.

* Until 7 am CDT Thursday

* storms will be capable of high rainfall rates due to high
moisture levels in the atmosphere.

* The area of greatest risk is south of a line from Fairfield,
Iowa to Monmouth, Illinois. Here storms may move over the same
areas later tonight and produce 1 to 3 inches of rain in a short
time period.

Monitor forecasts and take action if flash flood warnings are
issued or flash flooding develops.
