* at 124 am CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Three to five inches of rain
have already fallen. Flash flooding is occurring.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Stanberry, Jamesport, Pattonsburg, Maitland, Skidmore, Linneus,
Barnard, Chula, Conception Junction, Purdin, Graham, Jameson,
Guilford, CLyde, Arkoe, New Boston, Conception and Ford City.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the
warned area.

This includes Interstate 35 in Missouri between mile markers 72 and
78.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
