West to northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts between 35 and
45 mph, will occur this afternoon across central and southeast
Illinois. High profile vehicles like semi-trucks traveling on
north-south roads may find driving difficult with these high
winds. These gusty winds can also blow and move loose objects
such as lawn furniture. Winds will gradually decrease late this
afternoon and during this evening, as strong low pressure pulls
away from the eastern Great Lakes region.
