Source... radar indicated. At 638 PM CDT... quarter size hail was
         reported north of Wrigley field.

Impact... hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to

* Flash Flood Warning for...
northeastern Cook County in northeastern Illinois...

* until 1030 PM CDT

* at 625 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. This is the same area which
received two to as much as three and a half inches Saturday.
Additional amounts of one to two inches are possible with
these storms and will produce quick runoff and flash flooding.

* at 544 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms occurring over northern Cook County. These
thunderstorms will likely become more numerous and track over
areas which saw heavy rainfall last evening. New rainfall of a
half inch to an inch and a half from current storms may lead to
renewed urban flooding of low spots and viaducts... with renewed
rises possible on area rivers.

Heat Advisory
Issued: 4:33 PM EDT Jul. 24, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Heat advisory remains in effect until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ this
evening...

* temperature... low 90s.

* Maximum heat index values... 103 to 113 degrees.

* Impacts... temperatures and moisture this high could lead to
heat related illnesses with prolonged exposure. The elderly...
small children and pets are especially susceptible. Plan
ahead. Have a cool place to shelter from the heat. Avoid
outdoor activity during the afternoon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity
will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are
possible. Drink plenty of fluids... stay in an air-conditioned
room... stay out of the sun... and check up on relatives and
neighbors.

Take extra precautions... if you work or spend time outside. When
possible... reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water.

To reduce risk during outdoor work... the occupational safety and
health administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks
