... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Thursday morning through
Friday evening...

The National Weather Service in Billings has issued a Winter
Storm Watch... which is in effect from Thursday morning through
Friday evening.

* Impacts... heavy, wet snow could cause difficult travel
conditions due to poor visibility and snow packed roads. This
would include Interstate 90. Power outages are possible.

* Timing... snow is expected to develop Thursday and continue
through Friday afternoon. Heaviest period of snowfall will be
Thursday evening through Friday morning.

* Snow accumulation... 6 to 10 inches for foothills and areas west
of Interstate 90 with 4 to 6 inches for eastern plains
locations.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Watch is issued when severe winter weather is
possible but not imminent. At this time there is a potential for
significant snow. Future driving and walking conditions may
become hazardous so it is important to monitor the latest
forecasts.
