Watches & Warnings

Winter Storm Warning
Issued: 6:43 AM MDT Apr. 28, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until midnight MDT
tonight...

* impacts... heavy, wet snow will cause difficult travel
conditions due to poor visibility and snow packed or slushy
roads. This includes Interstate 90. Power outages are
possible.

* Timing... snow will continue through this afternoon before
tapering off late in the day.

* Snow accumulation... the heaviest snowfall accumulations are
expected in the foothills of the big horns and pryors, and
over higher hills south of Lodge Grass. Additional snowfall
over these locations will be 2 to 5 inches. Lighter snow
totals can be expected elsewhere.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means a significant amount of snow is
expected or occurring. Reduced visibility in areas of snow and
fog on slick or slushy roadways will make travel very hazardous.
