Flood Warning
Issued: 9:23 PM CDT May. 22, 2017 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Mississippi River at La Crosse.
* From Tuesday evening to Tuesday may 30... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 8:15 PM Monday the stage was 11.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Tuesday evening and continue
to rise to near 12.6 feet by Thursday morning. The river is expected
to fall below flood stage next Monday.
* Impact... at 12.0 feet... Pettibone campground and RV park is flooded.
Road access to the north end of the Shore Acres development is
impacted by flooding. Some lowland flooding occurs in other areas
near the river.

... Scattered strong storms into mid evening...

Scattered thunderstorms will continue to track east across the
area through 10 PM. The stronger storms have a history of
producing 1/2 inch hail that covers the ground, along with
rainfall rates of as much as 1 inch in 30 mins. Wind gusts have
topped out at 35 mph.

When storms approach, seek shelter inside.
