... A line of strong thunderstorms will affect southeastern McLeod...
Carver... southwestern Hennepin... eastern Sibley... Scott... Dakota...
Rice... Goodhue and Le Sueur counties...

At 945 am CDT... radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from New Auburn to near Kenyon. Movement was
northeast at 30 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail are possible with these
storms.

Locations impacted include...
Faribault... Northfield... Red Wing... Bloomington... Eagan...
Eden Prairie... Burnsville... Lakeville... Minnetonka... Apple Valley...
Edina and Shakopee.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 35 between mile markers 50 and 88.
U.S. Highway 169 between mile markers 78 and 122.
U.S. Highway 212 between mile markers 112 and 160.
U.S. Highway 61 between mile markers 79 and 113.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms... and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
