... A line of strong thunderstorms will affect southwestern Steele...
northeastern Watonwan... southeastern Brown... Blue Earth... eastern
Nicollet... Waseca... Freeborn... southwestern Le Sueur and eastern
Faribault counties...

At 835 am CDT... radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near Sleepy Eye to near Pemberton to near
Twin Lakes. Movement was northeast at 45 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail are possible with these
storms.

Locations impacted include...
Mankato... Albert Lea... New Ulm... North Mankato... St. Peter...
Waseca... Lake Crystal... Eagle Lake... Wells... Madelia...
Janesville and Mapleton.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 35 between mile markers 1 and 34.
Interstate 90 between mile markers 131 and 173.
U.S. Highway 14 between mile markers 94 and 168.
U.S. Highway 169 between mile markers 30 and 64.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms... and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
