Special Statement
Issued: 12:17 PM CST Mar. 1, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Some slush to snow covered Road remain... snow exiting the
area...

As of 1215 PM, the band of moderate to occasionally heavy snow,
with snowfall rates of 1/2 to 1 inch per hour, was mainly over
central Wisconsin. Visibilities as low as 1/4 mile continued in
some of this snowfall, mainly east and south of La Crosse.

With the snow diminishing across much of the area, most main
roads were wet, with some secondary roads that Road crews have not
yet treated slush or snow covered and slippery.

The back edge of the snow was nearing an Osseo and Whitehall
Wisconsin to Caledonia Minnesota to Strawberry Point Iowa line.
Most of the snow in western and north-central Wisconsin, and
northeast Iowa looks to end by 130 PM.

Up to another 1/2 inch of snow is possible in parts of southwest
Wisconsin, with lesser amounts elsewhere. Use caution if
traveling early this afternoon and watch for changeable Road
conditions until the snow ends or Road crews complete their
rounds.
