... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 915 PM EDT for
southeastern Hamilton... northwestern Hancock... northwestern
Johnson... northern Morgan... southeastern Hendricks and Marion
counties...

At 710 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain and thunderstorms
across the warned area. Storms were moving slowly east and were
aligned from Fishers south-southwest across the eastern Indianapolis
Metro to near Greenwood. Storms have weakened slightly since 645 PM.

Flash flooding is already occurring with numerous roads flooded
across the Indianapolis Metro area. Indianapolis International
Airport has received 1.82 inches of rain since 6 PM.

Indianapolis... Carmel... Fishers... Greenwood... Lawrence...
Plainfield... Brownsburg... Beech Grove... Speedway... Mooresville...
Danville... Southport... Avon... Cumberland... McCordsville...

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
southwestern Hancock County in central Indiana...
southeastern Marion County in central Indiana...

* until 815 PM EDT

* at 522 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow
moving thunderstorms. Up to 1.5 inches has fallen along and east
of Interstate 465 south of Interstate 70 in the eastern
Indianapolis Metro area. Combined with rainfall from the storms
this morning... this will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Indianapolis... Lawrence... Beech Grove... Cumberland...
New Palestine and Warren Park.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
