The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
northeastern Belmont County in east central Ohio...

* until 445 am EDT Saturday.

* At 1037 PM EDT, radar indicated rain continuing in the warned area
and that the Wheeling Creek had exceeded its banks near Blaine.

Flooding... occurring.

Estimated rainfall... up to 2.5 inches.

Additional rainfall... up to 1/2 inch.

* Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Martins Ferry... Bridgeport...
Brookside...

Flash Flood Watch

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 2 am EDT Saturday...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of western Maryland, east central Ohio, Pennsylvania,
and West Virginia.

* Until 2 am EDT Saturday

* rainfall amounts up to three inches have fallen in the watch
area due to the remnants of Cindy and an approaching cold
front. Numerous water rescues and flooding have been reported
especially across Westmoreland, Fayette, and Greene counties.

* Flooded roads along with streams and creeks out of their banks
are occurring in several parts of the watch area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
