* Flood Advisory for...
central Union County in central Ohio...
northwestern Delaware County in central Ohio...

* until 500 PM EDT.

* At 304 PM EDT... radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain
with up to an inch of rain occurring in an hour. Nearby gauge also
shows over half an inch in less than one hour.

* Minor flooding of low lying and poorly drained streets... highways
and underpasses will occur. In addition... farmland near creeks...
streams and drainage ditches will experience minor flooding.

Some locations that will experience minor flooding include
Richwood... Radnor... Ostrander... Magnetic Springs... Somersville...
Warrensburg... Essex... Raymond... State Route 257 at US Route 36...
Broadway and Pharisburg.

* Flood Advisory for...
northwestern Union County in central Ohio...
northeastern Logan County in west central Ohio...

* until 445 PM EDT.

* At 246 PM EDT... radar indicated thunderstorms with heavy rain over
the advisory area. Radar has estimated that between 1 and 1.5
inches of rain has fallen in a short period of time.

* Minor flooding of low lying and poorly drained streets... highways
and underpasses will occur. In addition... farmland near creeks...
streams and drainage ditches will experience minor flooding.

Some locations that will experience minor flooding include
West Mansfield... Rushsylvania and Byhalia.

... Heat advisory remains in effect until 8 PM EDT this evening...

* heat index values... up to 104 due to temperatures in the lower
90s... and dewpoints in the lower 70s.

* Timing... highest temperatures and heat indices will occur
during the afternoon hours.

* Impacts... heat stroke... heat exhaustion and other heat related
illnesses will be possible... especially if you spend a
significant amount of time outdoors... or are involved in any
strenuous outdoor activity.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Reduce outdoor activities... especially from mid-morning through
the afternoon. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing and
drink plenty of water. If possible... spend more time in air
conditioned or well ventilated places.

To reduce risk during outdoor work the occupational safety and
health administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks
in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by
heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke
is an emergency... call 911.
