The National Weather Service in Morristown has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
northeastern Hamilton County in eastern Tennessee...

* until 900 PM EDT

* at 701 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to a
cluster of slow moving thunderstorms. This will cause Urban and
Small Stream flooding in the advisory area. One to two inches of
rain have already fallen... with another inch of rain possible in
some areas over the next couple of hours.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Soddy-Daisy... Lakesite... Shady Grove... Mowbray mountain...
Harrison Bay S.P... .Middle Valley...
north Chickamauga creek gorge... Sale Creek...
Flat Top Mountain and Falling Water.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate Route.
