The Flood Warning continues for
the Black Warrior river at Selden lock and dam.
* Until late Wednesday night... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 8:15 PM Friday the stage was 92.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 90.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 98.5 feet by
early Sunday afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage
Wednesday afternoon.
* Impact... at 98.0 feet... some Cabins and trailers along the river
begin to flood.

... Flood Warning extended until Wednesday morning... the Flood Warning
continues for
the Tombigbee river at Demopolis lock and dam.
* From Saturday evening to Wednesday morning... or until the warning
is cancelled.
* At 8:15 PM Friday the stage was 63.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 68.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by tomorrow late evening and
continue to rise to near 70.4 feet by Monday morning. The river
will fall below flood stage by Tuesday night.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* small stream flood advisory for...
northern Perry County in Alabama...
Greene County in west central Alabama...
Hale County in west central Alabama...
Bibb County in Alabama...
Sumter County in west central Alabama...

* until 715 am CDT

* at 115 am CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
small stream flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Brent, Livingston, Eutaw, Centreville, York, Greensboro, Cuba,
Moundville, Vance, Woodstock, West Blocton, Forkland, Akron,
Boligee, Union, Gainesville, Epes, Emelle, Panola and West Greene.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
