* location... Atlantic beaches from Ocean City south through the
Virginia Eastern Shore.

* Timing... through Friday morning.

* Shoreline impacts... minor beach erosion possible.

* Surf or rip current risk... nearshore waves of 8 to
12 feet will bring dangerous surf and rip currents.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A high surf advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in
the advisory area... producing localized beach erosion and
dangerous swimming conditions.

Issued: 3:24 PM EST Nov. 15, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Wind Advisory now in effect until 10 PM EST this evening...

* areas affected: Worcester County Maryland and Accomack County
Virginia. Strongest winds expected at the immediate coast of
the Atlantic Ocean.

* Winds: east to northeast 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* Timing: through this evening.

* Impacts: strong winds may blow down limbs, trees, and power
lines. Scattered power outages will be possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds are forecast to be
31 to 39 mph or gusts will range between 46 and 57 mph. Winds of
these magnitudes may cause minor property damage without extra
precautions. Motorists in high profile vehicles should use
caution until the winds subside.
