Watches & Warnings

Areal Flood Advisory
Issued: 1:20 AM EDT Sep. 1, 2016 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
New Castle County in northern Delaware...
northern Kent County in central Delaware...
Kent County in northeastern Maryland...
Cecil County in northeastern Maryland...
northeastern Queen Anne's County in northeastern Maryland...
southwestern Salem County in southern New Jersey...

* until 515 am EDT

* at 119 am EDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause Urban and Small Stream flooding in
the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated... or
ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
Do not attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.
It takes only a few inches of swiftly flowing water to carry vehicles
away.
