* until 615 PM EDT

* at 527 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Fort Belvoir,
moving northeast at 15 mph.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches
           to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as
           damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by
           downed trees. Localized power outages are possible.
           Unsecured light objects may become projectiles.

Arlington, Alexandria, Springfield, Fort Washington, fort Hunt,
Groveton, Huntington, Coral Hills, Fort Belvoir, National Harbor,
Reagan National Airport, Crystal City, rfk stadium, nationals park,

Get indoors to protect yourself from wind and lightning. Trees around
you may be downed from damaging winds, so if you are near large

... A Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect until 545 PM EDT
for the southeastern District of Columbia... south central Anne
Arundel... northwestern St. Marys... Calvert... southern Prince Georges
and northern Charles counties...

At 517 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near La Plata to near Sheridan Point, moving northeast
at 30 mph.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Source... radar indicated.

Coastal Flood Advisory
Issued: 3:14 PM EDT May. 25, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Coastal flood advisory remains in effect until 11 PM EDT this
evening...

* locations... sensitive portions of the Washington DC and
Alexandria Waterfront.

* Tidal departure... 1 to 2 feet above normal.

* Timing... around high tide this evening... which will occur
between 8:30 and 9:00 PM.

* Impacts... shoreline inundation is expected along portions of
the seawall adjacent to Ohio drive and the Hains Point loop
Road. Water is expected to approach the curb near the
intersection of King Street and strand street in Alexandria.
Minor shoreline inundation is possible elsewhere.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal flood advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
