The National Weather Service in Baltimore MD/Washington DC has
issued a coastal flood advisory, which is in effect until 2 PM
EDT Monday.

* Locations... Alexandria and Washington DC Waterfront.

* Tidal departure... around 1.25 feet above normal.

* Timing... around the time of high tide tonight and midday Monday.
The next two high tides at Washington Channel will be at 11:20
PM and 11:31 am. The next two high tides at Alexandria will be
at 11:38 PM and 11:49 am.

* Impacts... shoreline inundation is expected along portions of
the seawall adjacent to Ohio drive and the Hains Point loop
Road. Water is expected to approach the curb near the
intersection of King Street and strand street in Alexandria.
Minor shoreline inundation is possible elsewhere.


Forecast tides are referenced to mean lower low water (mllw) and
mean higher high water (mhhw) unless otherwise noted. Time of
high total tide is approximate to nearest hour. Total tide
combines the normal tide and departure from normal. Flood impact
is based on the total tide and waves where applicable.
