afternoon to 1 PM EST Tuesday...

* locations... Luzerne... Lackawanna... southern Wayne... and
Pike counties in northeast Pennsylvania as well as Sullivan
County in central New York.

* Hazard types... heavy wet snow... sleet... and strong winds.

* Accumulations... 3 to 5 inches of heavy wet snow and sleet.

* Timing... rain will move into the area through the late morning.

valleys and up to 40 mph over the higher terrain.

* Temperatures... in the low to mid 30s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet...
or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
