Areal Flood Advisory
Issued: 8:13 PM EDT May. 28, 2017 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in State College PA has issued a

* urban and small stream flood advisory for poor drainage areas
for...
southwestern and central Clearfield County in central
Pennsylvania...

* until 1115 PM EDT

* at 809 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms training into the region from the west. Rainfall of
around 1 inch has occurred during the past hour over parts of the
advisory area. Additional rainfall of up to one inch is likely
between 815 PM and 10 PM. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Clearfield, Curwensville, plymptonville, Hyde, Glen Hope, Grampian,
Westover, Lumber City, Troutville and Mahaffey.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

A flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
