Issued: 4:11 AM EDT Mar. 30, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from late tonight through
Saturday morning...

* locations... Hamilton and northern Warren counties in New York,
northern Berkshire County in Massachusetts, and southern
Vermont.

* Hazard types... snow and sleet.

* Accumulations... over 7 inches of snow and sleet is possible. The
heaviest accumulations will occur over the higher elevations.

* Timing... snow will overspread the area late tonight into Friday
morning. The snow may mix with sleet and rain at times beginning
late Friday morning and steady precipitation is expected to continue
into Friday night. The snow will taper off to snow and rain
showers by Saturday morning.

* Impacts... heavy, wet snow and sleet will have the potential to
result in power outages. Snow and ice covered roadways will
potentially make travel dangerous.

* Snowfall rates... up to an inch per hour at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow... sleet... or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
