We continue to monitor Invest 99L for the possibility of development into a tropical depression or storm as it approaches the Lesser Antilles, then heads in the general direction of the Bahamas late in the week.

Invest 99L will potentially be impactful in the near-future as it spreads locally heavy rain into the Leeward Islands and eventually Puerto Rico. A flash flood watch is in effect for the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico from overnight tonight until noon on Thursday.
