Coastal Hazard Statement
Issued: 4:10 AM AST Nov. 14, 2019 – National Weather Service

... High rip current risk in effect from Friday morning through
Saturday afternoon...

The National Weather Service in San Juan has issued a high rip
current risk, which is in effect from Friday morning through
Saturday afternoon.

* Location... beaches along the northwest to northeast coast of
Puerto Rico.

* Timing... Friday morning through Saturday afternoon.

* Impacts... strong currents that can carry even the strongest of
swimmers out to sea.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

There is a high risk of rip currents.

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
